Nap for N.A.S
July 27, 2021 @ 12:00PM — August 22, 2021 @ 12:00PM Eastern Time (US & Canada)
Babies born with NAS (Neonatal Abstinence Syndrome) require specialized care. At Lily's Place we strive to make them as comfortable as possible while going through the weaning process. During the process, the baby can experience tremors, tight muscle tone, difficulty eating, and many other symptoms including difficulty sleeping. Nap for N.A.S. is just another way that Lily's Place is bringing awareness to this epidemic. Participants are encouraged to rest in honor of the restless. While normally we are called to action, this is a time to be still. That is why, on the day of their choice, we are asking participants to take some time and rest. The amount of time will vary with each person, but the goal is the same: To raise funds and awareness for babies battling N.A.S. We know that getting proper rest is one of the keys to a healthy life, we want every child to have a healthy start. You get rest, and you give rest. You give by registering for NAP for N.A.S with a donation of $30 or more. Every participant who registers by August 22 will receive a "NAP for N.A.S" T-shirt in the mail. If you would prefer to send a check by mail, just make your check payable to Lily's Place and put "NAP for NAS" in the memo. If you send a check, don't forget to let us know your t-shirt size! Mail it to PO Box 2 Huntington, WV 25706.
